The Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, along with its Quebec Branch, the AQPMO, is proud to invite you to the 19th annual orthopaedic symposium to be held in Montreal, September 26th to 28th 2008.
The mission of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association 's Orthopaedic Division is the advancement of Orthopaedic physiotherapy through the promotion of excellence in education, practice and research.
The Orthopaedic Division is essentially a special interest sub-division of CPA. The Division disseminates information of interest to Orthopaedic therapists and provides post-graduate courses and instruction in Orthopaedic manual therapy. The Division also promotes Orthopaedic issues to the CPA. Members are involved in the treatment of persons with musculoskeletal conditions. Published five times a year and with a readership of more than 3500 Orthopaedic members worldwide, the Orthopaedic Division Review, is a journal that keeps the orthopaedic community informed professionally and gives its member a tribune for dialogue.
The AQPMO is the Quebec branch of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Its mission is to promote the teaching of manual therapy in Quebec and to manage the organization of the courses that are taught. The curriculum of the manual therapy courses is based on that of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the courses are taught in both English and French. The AQPMO also hosts an annual Symposium which has the objective to help physiotherapists update their knowledge and exchange information with other health professionals.
The AQPMO's purpose is to help physiotherapists who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in orthopaedic manual therapy and to promote their field of expertise to other organizations involved in the management of health care in Québec.
